THE PROCESS

The first session is dedicated to reviewing the intake form, allowing the therapist to explore the client’s story, challenges, and expectations. This is also an opportunity to ask questions and emphasise what is important for the client.

In the following sessions, creative processes will be used to address specific challenges. Through guided painting, drawing, or other forms of artistic expression, the client will explore thoughts and emotions. Rather than interpreting the client’s artwork, the focus will be on uncovering personal meaning and gaining clarity through the client’s own insight and wisdom.

Each session concludes with a reflection on key takeaways and a plan for implementation before the next meeting.

Clients don’t need any artistic talent to benefit from art therapy as the goal is to help individuals explore their emotions, thoughts, and experiences rather than creating aesthetically pleasing artwork.

The sessions whether it’s face to face or on-line will always take place in a safe and confidential space, which is fully dedicated to the collaborative work between the client and the therapist.
